In 2002, Bernard inaugurated a very special hiking trail along the Rimouski shoreline, where the Rocher Blanc sector is named after him. The trail, created by the la Corporation d’aménagement des espaces verts de Rimouski, winds through the forest, overlooks the St. Lawrence and stretches along the beach for several kilometres. It’s a wonderful place to relax, with superb views. You will remember that the Rocher Blanc was Bernard’s very first adventurous expedition. At the age of 4, he and his friends often climbed the rock, reaching a dizzying altitude of 8 metres!
